The Royal Dornoch Gondola Company has announced the winning design for the Royal Dornoch Tee Box station. Rather than disturbing any virgin Highland turf, the scheme creatively reuses the footprint of the former clubhouse pad, erecting a raised, glazed platform that places golfers within a polite stroll of the Championship first tee.

Key highlights from the announcement:

  • A Raised Footprint: Passengers will ascend stairs to a glazed viewing platform where cabins glide in over the firth.
  • Infrastructure with a Handicap: Board of Trustees Chairman Neil Hampton welcomed the scheme, clarifying that while other clubs offer parking, we offer descent. "We have not moved the tee," Hampton noted. "We have moved the arrival."
  • The One-Way Rule: Station Master person-stan-pennington (Extension 00) has issued a stern advisory: "Arrive by cabin. Leave by score. Do not reverse on the stairs."

CEO person-gary-bethune confirmed the site sits perfectly on the Tain–Brora alignment. For more on the trajectory, see the page-3182421 and the page-3181153.
